The spirit of man
Case Study: A Young Woman’s Journey from Despair to Hope
One day in my counseling room, a young woman sat before me carrying a burden heavier than words. After an abortion, she had come to believe that she would never become pregnant again. This was not a medical diagnosis, but a conclusion she had accepted as absolute truth. Her despair had grown so deep that she no longer questioned it, and she defended it.
At first, it seemed like a problem of the soul: painful memories, guilt, fear, and hopeless thinking. Conventional therapy would focus on emotions, beliefs, and coping strategies. But as we spoke, it became clear that the wound went deeper. Her suffering was not only psychological, but it was spiritual.
She told me she prayed, yet her prayers were filled with dread rather than hope. She had even received a prophecy that confirmed her fear, and she accepted it as final. In her understanding, the spirit was something unchangeable, something that must be endured rather than renewed. Without realizing it, she had treated a wounded soul as if it were the unalterable voice of her spirit.
In that moment, I understood: she had taken the event personally at the deepest level of her being. Guilt had become identity; fear had become destiny. Her inner person was not only hurting, but he was trying to protect himself by clinging to a painful certainty rather than risking hope.
This encounter revealed a crucial truth: many people suffer not because they lack information, therapy, or faith practices, but because they do not know how to distinguish between spirit, soul, and body. When the wounded soul speaks with the authority of the spirit, despair can feel sacred, permanent, and unquestionable. True restoration begins when we learn to address the spirit, the deepest seat of identity, conscience, and connection to the Creator, and not merely the emotions or thoughts that surround it. Healing then moves from the inside outward, restoring hope, dignity, and the capacity to live again.
This article explores why focusing on the spirit is essential for genuine healing, especially in cases where guilt, fear, and identity wounds have penetrated beyond the surface of the mind into the core of the person. The question of who is the spirit of man?

Introduction: When the Wound Is Deeper Than the Soul
The world used to know this truth and apply it as wisdom but the corruption overthrew it away, when the people started to lose the knowledge and understanding gradually, the world is there believing that, there is some kind of people who is the people of God, consequently, the world forgot that, we are all created with the spirit from the same creator. The superiority was created on one side, and the inferiority on the other side. Now the world is divided into two spheres, one sphere made the other sphere. The question is, what has happened? Their spirits have shaped by corruption and manifested on earth as the race of God, and people of God who has created to dominate others. I decided to use this example to show you that the spirit of man is a person and can be manipulated, and once manipulated, the danger is raised.

“A person is a self-aware, reasoning, morally responsible being with the freedom to choose, plan, and live across time under laws, rights, and responsibilities.”
The Spirit of Man Is a Person
A person is a being who possesses a mind capable of reasoning, reflection, and intentional mental states such as beliefs, desires, and hopes. This mental capacity enables understanding, meaning-making, imagination, and the pursuit of purpose.
A person also has the ability to understand oneself as a persistent individual across time, recognizing continuity between past, present, and future. This enduring self-awareness establishes identity, memory, accountability, and direction in life.
Furthermore, a person has the capacity to act independently, make choices, and create personal life plans. This autonomy allows initiative, responsibility, creativity, and the shaping of one’s path rather than mere reaction to external forces.
A person is also defined as a bearer of laws, rights, responsibilities, and moral agency, the ability to make moral judgments and to be accountable for one’s actions. This moral dimension distinguishes persons from objects or purely instinct-driven beings, placing them within the realm of justice, community, and ethical order.
“Personality is the distinctive pattern of thinking, feeling, and behaving shaped by both nature and experience, through which a person consistently relates to others, the environment, and society.”

What is the personality?
Personality is the characteristic way a person thinks, feels, and behaves, expressed through consistent patterns of mood, attitude, perception, and response. It reflects how the inner life of an individual becomes visible in daily actions, communication, and relationships.
Personality embraces moods, attitudes, and opinions, and is most clearly revealed in interactions with other people. It is not merely what a person says about themselves, but what others consistently experience when relating to them. It includes behavioral characteristics, both inherent “natural temperament” and acquired “formed through experiences, environment, beliefs, and choices” that distinguish one person from another. These characteristics can be observed in how individuals relate to their surroundings, respond to challenges, participate in community, and function within a social group.
Why do we need to understand that a spirit of man is a person? Simply because this concept will help the world to treat a spirit as a treatable person, instead of a magic and mysterious thing, impossible to understand, the world will open its eyes to a holistic approach to human being treatment, to have a healthy life. My experience in counseling revealed that, without a healthy spirit, it is impossible to have the health soul, a healthy body, and a healthy environment.
Why Focusing on the Spirit Matters in Healing
If you are this article, I want you to know that your spirit is a person, treat him like a person. You are that person whether you want or not; the world does not need a human being to know this truth, as long as the greatest discovery everyone can make is to discover the person inside, your spirit. The spirit of man is a person with personality. This means that everything that happens to a person can happen to the spirit, every treatment done to a person is done to the spirit, and the treatment initiated to a person can be initiated to the spirit. Don’t continue to believe the lie of the world that the spirit of man is a sophisticated thing, reserved for a group of people. You are equipped with tools that specialized to know and understanding your spirit.
Conclusion: Treat Your Spirit as the Person You Truly Are
The spirit of man feels, this means that your spirit can be traumatized and feel pain. And we have to know how to treat this most important person in human beings. If not, we are going to die without enjoying spiritual health. I wish the world could enjoy the spiritual health system. And life, that amazing life of the spirit of man. The world will continue to reflect, the spiritual unhealthy health system “corrupted health system”. I am crying for the world while I am writing this article because the wars happening around the world, based on corrupted spiritual health system, the world never knew and many spirit are dying without maximizing their potential. This is how powerful the spirit of man is, what if the world made a man believe that, he can survive without his spirit and die like a fool?
